Worker Dies at Home Renovation Worksite

Gloucester, Massachusetts – A construction worker died when he was working at a home renovation project.

The accident happened on Thursday 18 at about 9:30 A.M, while he operated a mini-excavator.

Jonathan Blodgett’s, Essex District Attorney said: “the man had been using the machine to dig out the home’s foundation when he was somehow pinned between it and a steel I-beam propping up the home”.

The 27-year-old worker, identified as Justin Harrington, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident is being investigated by The Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
