Two Workers Injured After Construction Accident

The past Thursday 2 of June, two construction workers were critical injured after an accident involving a scissor lift in Salt Lake City near to West High School.

Police and investigators are not sure if it was a mechanical error or a human error.

“The men were hurt at about 1 p.m. on a building under construction at 255 N. 400 west” said Mark Bednarik, Salt Lake City Fire Capitan.

Bednarik also said: “We’re not sure if it flipped over or it malfunctioned or something went wrong but two workers were on that equipment.”

Both men were transported to the Intermountain Medical Center. There is not information about their clinical condition.
