Two Injured After Lift Touches Power Line

Omaha, Nebraska – Two workers injured at a construction site near 49th and Dodge

The accident happened on Monday afternoon, when two electrical contractors were in an elevated lift basket and struck a ground line at the construction site.

The victims were identified as Alex Cooper, 25 and Freddie Maldonado, 33.

Cooper’s sister, Valeska Cooper, said: “The doctors aren’t giving us much hope, but we believe in God,”

The 2 of them who were seriously injured were rushed to Nebraska Medicine and remain hospitalized.
