Road Worker Killed in Construction Accident

South Lyon, Michigan – A worker was killed in a construction zone accident on Wednesday morning.

The accident happened on May 23rd, when the worker was struck by an asphalt truck. There were no witnesses so it’s still not known what caused the crash. The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigation Unit and Michigan State Police Motor Carrier will be in charge of the investigation.

Ajax company released the following statement : “We are saddened to confirm that an Ajax employee was fatally injured this morning. We are at this time investigating the facts surrounding the incident. Our most heartfelt sympathies are with the immediate family and friends as well as the Ajax family of employees.

The victim was Emmanuel Gonzalez-Garcia, 21, Detroit.
