Fatal Construction Accident on Staten Island

Staten Island – A worker was struck by a load that fell off a crane at a construction site.

The accident happened on March 11 at around 4:20 p.m at Staten Island Asphalt at 356 Meredith Ave., Chelsea.

The victim was Antonio Veloso, 54, of New Jersey. The man was pronounced dead at the University Medical Center in West Brighton.
