Construction Workers Hurt When Car Enters Construction Site

Sherwood, Oregon – Two construction workers were injured when they were working at a construction site near Southwest Elwert and Edy Road.

The accident happened on Thursday, February 1st, when they were struck by a car that entered a Sherwood construction zone.

Sherwood Capt. Ty Hanlon said: “A vehicle was traveling northbound on Elwert, ignored the stop sign (from the flagger) or wasn’t paying attention.”

Both workers were taken to the hospital where they are recovering with non-life threatening injuries.

The construction workers identities haven’t been revealed.
