Construction Worker Dies at a Residential Construction Site in Delaware

Galena, Ohio – A construction worker died while working at a residential construction site in Galena, Delaware County.

The accident happened on Thursday at about 12:15 p.m, when worker was hit by an approximately 2500-pound beam.

Capt. Kevin Savage of the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office said: “It looks like when they thought it was in place it became detached.”

The victim was Luis Pillcorema, 34, of Columbus. Pillcorema was pronounced dead at the scene, according to authorities. Officials said OSHA has been notified about the accident.
