Construction Worker Dies After Fall In Issaquah Washington State

On Monday 16th of the present year a worker dies after fall from scaffolding at a construction site near 7th Avenue and Gilman Boulevard. The 46-year-old man identified as Philip Rumsey, was working for subcontractor Fairweather Masory at the Atlas Apartments whose project is being built by Andersen Construction of Seattle.

An initial investigation found that the man was working on elevated scaffolding when he fell. Fortunately no one else was hurt in the accident.

Andersen Construction has had 10 inspections during the last 3 years with no violations; and the last one was on March and the results of that inspection it’s no available yet.

Eric Olsen, Anderson Construction’s said: “It’s a tough day, its close family, we take it very seriously, to send people home safe from the jobs that they do”.

We’re trying to make sure they go home in the right frame of mind and we bring them back to work safely as quickly as possible” Eastside Fire and Rescue Deputy Chief Richard Burke told.

The construction site has been shut down and the workers have sending home.
