Worker dies after construction accident in Texas

Williamson County, Texas – A construction worker died while working in a gas pipeline construction at the west of Georgetown.

The accident happened on Saturday evening at about 5:00 p.m, when inexplicably, worker was struck by a construction machine.

Robert Chody, Sheriff of Williamson County, said that a piece of heavy equipment used to flatten surfaces, struck the worker, causing bleeding around his head, but did not run over him.

The victim was Jose de Jesus Diaz-Valenzuela, 38, from the Dallas area. Diaz-Valenzuela was pronounced dead at the scene, according to authorities. Officials said OSHA has been notified about the accident.
