Worker Dies After Construction Accident in Cape Town

Cape Town, South Africa – Two construction workers died and another was injured, while they were working at a construction site in Kommetjie Road in Fish Hoek.

The accident happened last Thursday, March 01, in the morning, when a trench fell on the workers. The construction workers were trapped while they placed the storm pipes.

Emergency Medical and Forensic Pathology Services spokesperson Robert Daniels said: “Two construction workers have died and another was airlifted to Groote Schuur Hospital in a critical condition

Two of the construction workers were pronounced dead at the scene. The identities of the construction workers haven’t been revealed.
