Two Men Died After a Elevator Accident

St. Louis, Missouri – Two construction workers fell to their deaths at a St. Louis elevator shaft accident.

The accident occurred Monday morning on a building at 15th and Washington Avenue. The two workers were suspended inside the elevator shaft when the basket they were in fell down six floors.

Fire Chief Dennis Jenkerson said: “What we’re going to look at it is what kind of procedures they were involved with. OSHA is on scene and they’ve taken control to look at everything around, how it was installed,

The victims, identified as 44-year-old Joey Hale and 58-year-old Ben Ricks, were pronounced dead at the scene.
