Construction Worker man Dies After Being hit by Bulldozer

Florence, Alabama – A construction worker died while he was working at a construction site of a new apartment complex just off West Irvine Avenue.

The accident happened last Wednesday, November 15th. When the construction worker was suddenly hit by a bulldozer.

Greg Cobb, Florence police sergeant said: “OSHA has been contacted to conduct the investigation into this accident. We will assist them anyway we can. After the accident the construction work was stopped by the superintendent of the site

The 55 years old worker, identified as David Thornton, was pronounced dead at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital.

The accident is being investigated by The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
