Oakville, Ontario, Canada – A male worker suffered critical injuries after an accident involving heavy machinery.

The worker was operating an excavator, trying to pull a tree down using the excavator with a chain wrapped around the tree, suddenly the chain split it turned back lacerating the operators leg, said Fire Chief Brian Durdin.

The worker experienced significant pain and a serious injury to one of his legs. He was transported to a nearby hospital.
