A multiple crash took place in the afternoon of last Sunday. 40 cars were involved which caused the road 711 was closed for several hours.
This has been to date the biggest car accident all over the Valley caused by climatic conditions.
According to authorities, Interstate 680, Madison Avenue and Himrod Avenue were all shut down due to multi-car crashes . They reopened after 9:30 p.m.
Authorities request to drive carefully as the pavement becomes smooth and it is when these kind of accidents occur.
“In icy conditions, drivers need to be patient on the roads, drive slowly and keep a big distance between themselves and other drivers“, said Ohio State Highway Patrol Sgt. Patrick Abel.
